Free Wheelers Learn to ride bike program

The motto for Chisholm, Minnesota has always been “If you build it, they will come” ever since the motion picture Field of Dreams starring Kevin Costner hit the big screens. Doc Moonlight Graham (played by Burt Lancaster) was from Chisholm and knew that all things are possible. Redhead MTB Park was built with this adage in mind, and it was right! RIDERS are coming in droves!

The City of Chisholm and its partners in the new Free Wheelers Learn to Ride Bike Program know, however, not everyone has access to bicycles. Mountain bikes are expensive and especially for growing youth who start on a small frame and often end on a large frame before most turn 18! To make mountain biking accessible to all Iron Range youth, a new program will host “Try it Out” events and “Bring a Friend” events facilitated by Rock Ridge Mountain Bike Team and Coaches.
