Readhead MTB Trails
Carved from the walls of an abandoned water-filled mine pit, Redhead offers outdoor enthusiasts an oasis of fun year-round. Redhead has something for everyone – with 27-miles of HAND-CRAFTED, PURPOSE-BUILT mountain bike trails already on the ground and more on the way. Difficulty ranges from beginner to expert level with a wide array of terrain features and options for riders to test out their skills.
Winter at Redhead
Groomed trails are OPEN for fat biking and snowshoeing for the 2024-2025 season.
Please note hiking without snowshoes and biking with regular MTB tires is prohibited—help us spread the word!
Download the Winter Trail Map for quick access to open, groomed routes. Grooming happens regularly, but snow drifts due to Redhead’s unique terrain.
Ungroomed trails remain closed and potentially dangerous, so please avoid them.
Fat bikers, set your tire pressure for groomed trails: 1-4 psi for soft surfaces above freezing and 6-8 psi for hard-packed, frozen trails to keep the trails in great shape. Ride stoked and shred responsibly!
