experience the big race

Chisholm area is a buzz with excitement for the MCA State Championship Race Oct 12-13. Spectators and fans are welcome to attend the race, along with park users wanting to get out and ride/hike Redhead. But the trail system is limited to the south side of the park. The main trailhead is closed due to the number of racers and families, so we are asking that all local spectators and trail users access the park via Bruce Mine Park & Trailhead. From the Bruce Mine lot located at 900 4th Ave SE, access to the South Rim trail is just under a mile and access to the main trailhead at MDC/St. Louis County Fairgrounds (race start/finish) via the Mesabi Trail is apx. 2 miles. Riding your bike over to spectate is a smart option!
