You Spoke. We Listened.
Before Master Plan trail designs were drawn or upgrades proposed, we asked: What do you want to see at Redhead?
Through two surveys—one for local residents and one for visitors from across the region—hundreds of riders, hikers, and trail users shared feedback that shaped the Redhead Master Plan from the ground up. Here’s what we heard, and how it’s fueling the future:
What the Community Told Us:
Mountain biking leads the pack, but over half of locals also hike or snowshoe at Redhead. Redhead is more than a ride—it’s a daily escape.
93% rated their experience “good” or “very good”, and 29% of local users visit weekly.
The top local wish? More miles of trail, followed by a skills course, scenic overlooks, and trailheads with easier access.
Walking/biking trail connections from Chisholm to the park ranked high—locals want to reach Redhead car-free.
Increased access for all riders, from new beginners to advanced gravity junkies, was a consistent ask. So were more family-friendly and adaptive features.
What Visitors Had to Say:
Most visitors come for mountain biking and want more mileage to justify the trip.
Redhead was rated “very good” by 80% of out-of-town users.
Visitors were more singular in their use (mostly biking), while locals use the space more diversely—hiking, paddling, snowshoeing, and more.
Key Takeaways That Shaped the Master Plan:
Expanded trail mileage with better variety: gravity trails, green options, and more ways in and out of the pit.
A skills park, pump track, and improved signage to enhance the rider experience.
Plans for additional trailheads and on-site camping to make Redhead more accessible and weekend-ready.
A push for better trail connections into Chisholm and deeper partnerships with local businesses to keep visitors downtown.
Redhead belongs to all of us—and thanks to your input, it’s about to ride even bigger.
